In this post-911 world our government – the people in the DOJ – are really exploiting this tragedy to get more power under the pretense that is to fight to terrorism. They’re trying to get a lot of power to surveil US citizens with very little or no judicial reviewal. It’s concerning, because each and every time we as americans are trying to achieve better security because of the fear of terrorism, each and every time we give up a civil liberty.

Why the government is asking for additional power, for a very limited amount of time? The fight for terrorism is gonna go on indefinitely. It’s never gonna be over. Just like the war on drugs.

The people are willing to give up their privacy in exchange for feeling more secure. But once you give up those privacy rights, you’ll never ever get them back.

The government is like a machine that never stops, and has unlimited money. And if you ever become a target of the federal government, God help you, unless you have a lot of money to fight them.
